Casa Grande Middle School Principal Jennifer Murrieta Named a Distinguished Administrator by the Arizona School Administrators

Jennifer Murrieta has been selected as the Arizona School Administrators (ASA) Distinguished Administrator for the Middle Level Division! Only six individuals (one from each ASA division - Elementary, Secondary, Middle Level, Superintendents, Educational Services, and Higher Education) are recognized across the state each year.  She was nominated for the award by the superintendent and other District-level administrators.

She will be recognized at the ASA Summer Conference Awards Luncheon on Monday, June 13 in Tucson.  Mrs. Murrieta previously received the Council of Administrators of Special Education Outstanding Leadership Award in 2010.  In 2012 she was one of ten Arizona principals named a Rodel Exemplary Principal.

Mrs. Murrieta began her career in education by relocating to Arizona and teaching at the elementary level.  In 2006, Mrs. Murrieta moved to Casa Grande, and became the first Principal of Desert Willow Elementary School.  In 2013, she was appointed principal of Casa Grande Middle School.

Mrs. Murrieta and her husband, Damian have two children who attend school in the Casa Grande Elementary School District and who one day look forward to being Casa Grande Middle School Wildcats.
